Giuliano Marchesin concludes his tenure as General Manager. Operational governance is entrusted to Simone Mellano and François Tomei.
OI Intercarneitalia announces a significant leadership transition. After successfully securing ministerial recognition for the Interprofessional Organization and leading it with competence, balance, and a spirit of service, Giuliano Marchesin is stepping down as Director General. He leaves behind a legacy of relationships, projects, and achievements that have helped consolidate the Organization's role as a key reference point for the national beef supply chain.
The Board of Directors has decided to adopt a shared leadership model that reflects the Organization's interprofessional nature, entrusting operational management to two co-directors.
Simone Mellano, Director of Asprocarne Piemonte, will fill the role representing beef cattle farmers, while François Tomei, Director of Assocarni, will take on the role representing processors.
This new structure aims to further enhance dialogue among the various links in the supply chain, strengthening the representation of shared interests and fostering greater integration between production and processing.
The President and the Board of Directors of OI Intercarneitalia extend their sincere thanks to Giuliano Marchesin for his commitment and the work accomplished during his tenure, a period in which the Organization solidified its institutional presence and developed numerous initiatives to support the supply chain.
"We thank Giuliano Marchesin for the professionalism, dedication, and ability to foster dialogue he has demonstrated over the years. The decision to entrust leadership to two figures representing the supply chain's key components reflects our desire to further strengthen OI Intercarneitalia's interprofessional character and to effectively tackle the sector's future challenges," stated the Organization's leadership. The new co-directors will work in close collaboration to ensure continuity in ongoing activities and to pursue the Organization's strategic objectives, with a particular focus on promoting Italian beef, production sustainability, supply chain transparency, and dialogue with institutions.
