Federconsumatori: a bill of nearly 3,000 euros per household
Once again this year, as has been the case every year for as long as anyone can remember, a veritable ‘hot autumn’ awaits Italian families on their return from their holidays (for those who could afford them). The grim news comes from the O.N.F., the Federconsumatori National Observatory, which has calculated the cost of the autumn 2026 price hike. This is no small blow, rising significantly once again and well above the rate of inflation: the extra cost to be factored into the budget will, in fact, amount to €2,959.42 – up 7.2 per cent on 2025 – for expenditure incurred between September and November alone.
