Scheme funded by the EMFF
The Region of Sardinia has published a call for applications from the Department of Agriculture for the award of compensation to fishing and aquaculture businesses that have incurred higher fuel costs due to the economic impact of the conflict in the Middle East.
The scheme is funded under the European FEAMPA Programme 2021–2027, following the ongoing reallocation of regional resources by the Ministry of Agriculture.
“We want businesses to be able to access this compensation as quickly as possible. To this end, in agreement with all the regions and the MASAF, we have immediately published the call for applications whilst awaiting the formal finalisation of the amendments to the financial provisions of the EMFF. In the meantime, through an amendment to the budget revision – due to be discussed in the coming days – we will increase the total funding to 5 million euros,” said Francesco Agus, Councillor for Agriculture and Fisheries.
