Italy-Croatia cooperation creates a Blue Economy ecosystem
Businesses, universities, innovation centers, institutions, and young people are at the heart of a cross-border network that aims to transform skills and innovation into new opportunities for sustainable development. Not just knowledge exchange, but a true cross-border ecosystem capable of generating connections, skills, and new opportunities. This is one of the main legacies of BluesLinks, the project, with Lead Partner DELTA 2000, dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Italy and Croatia in the field of the Blue Economy, which reaches its final event today.
The Emilia-Romagna delegation included Sergio Caselli, President of GALPA Costa dell’Emilia-Romagna; Angela Nazzaruolo, Coordinator of DELTA 2000; Mauro Conficoni, Managing Director of DELTA 2000; Marzia Cavazzini, Project Manager of DELTA 2000; and Stefania Leoni, ART-ER Emilia-Romagna Region International Cooperation and Strategic Project Management.
BluesLinks has brought together businesses, universities, research and innovation centers, institutions, and young people, creating opportunities for discussion and collaboration and fostering the sharing of skills, experiences, and innovative solutions. This process has transcended the simple transfer of knowledge to build lasting connections between the two sides of the Adriatic.
"Innovation generates new skills, skills generate employability, employability strengthens businesses, and sustainability becomes the criterion through which to guide this transformation" is the message that summarizes the BluesLinks journey.
Three words to capitalize on the experience: know, connect, experiment
The added value of the project can be summarized in three actions: know, connect, experiment. Knowing the territories, their skills, and their potential; connecting stakeholders, experiences, and innovation systems; and experimenting with new solutions to address the challenges of the green and digital transition. It is precisely in the cross-border dimension that these three actions can generate the greatest value. What a territory possesses in terms of skills,
