Sustainable aquaculture: API’s recipe book to promote the production of farmed fish in Italy

Unveiled yesterday at the Rimini Meeting at the Confagricoltura stand

24, Aug 2026

“Caring for fish, people and the environment”: with this message, the API (Italian Fish Farmers’ Association) took part in the Rimini Meeting, where it ran educational activities aimed at young people and families. These initiatives reflect an approach that focuses on fish farming systems, health and nutrition, as well as natural resources.
These concepts have always underpinned the Association’s work – it represents over 90 per cent of businesses active in Italian aquaculture and mariculture – and have inspired the publication of *I sapori dell’acquacoltura* (The Flavours of Aquaculture), API’s new recipe book, presented at the Rimini Meeting on the Confagricoltura stand: not merely a collection of recipes, but a tool to introduce families to fish farmed in Italy – tasty, safe, monitored, traceable and easy to cook.
