The Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of the Veneto (IZSVe) organises training courses for livestock operators in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Health of 6 September 2023, as amended.
These training courses provide knowledge on: 1) the main listed animal diseases; 2) the responsibilities and obligations of animal handlers and professionals; 3) biosecurity principles; 4) the interplay between animal health, animal welfare and human health; 5) good farming practices; 6) resistance to pharmacological treatments, including antimicrobial resistance. The courses cover these various topics, taking into account the specific characteristics of animals reared for livestock purposes.
