Exports are performing very well, accounting for about 25% of total sales and, with double-digit growth of +12.4%, remain a key driver of the PGI’s growth.

«We are extremely proud of the results achieved in 2025 by Mortadella Bologna, which, despite rising grocery costs and energy bills, continues to grow, confirming that the “Pink Queen of Cured Meats” is an indispensable staple in Italians’ shopping baskets, both for its certified high quality and for the satisfaction it provides, a true comfort food particularly appreciated in a historical period where the international context is particularly uncertain» states Guido Veroni, President of the Italian Consortium for the Protection of Mortadella Bologna, who continues. «Finally, of great significance is the growth in exports both in the countries targeted by our promotional programs (Germany, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland) and in those where new development opportunities are emerging, such as Croatia, which grew by 27.6%, and Poland, which recorded an increase of 88.8%».
