The first Italian brand of free-service deli meats in the USA is among the stars of the New York City Wine & Food Festival, the Big Apple’s biggest food and wine event, scheduled from 13 to 16 October
It’s a record-breaking week for Veroni, the historic Correggio delicatessen that from today until 16 October lands on the banks of the Hudson River on the occasion of the New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF), the Big Apple’s biggest food and wine event. Platinum sponsor of the event, the first Italian brand of free-service sliced meats (data source: IRI US Luncheon Meat segment) in the USA known for its superior quality products, brings to New York one of the largest specimens ever seen overseas. Nearly two metres long, with a diameter of 46 cm, it weighs 300 kg and is ready to unveil all its goodness to the more than 50,000 visitors who will animate the event.
«Mortadella has the merit of making cured meats a true culinary experience that Americans are increasingly appreciating and seeking out thanks to the success of Made in Italy around the world» says Marco Veroni, President of Veroni USA. «The cult of Italian taste stems from products like mortadella that have a deep connection with the territory and boast a long tradition, for mortadella we even speak of the 1600s. Over the years we have maintained the ancient recipe and the maniacal care we dedicate to mortadellas like the one we will see in NY, enhancing their superior quality thanks to the technological evolution in which we are protagonists».
