Ventisei produttori costituiscono una nuova associazione, uniti dalla volontà di (ri)scoprire e (ri)posizionare il Lambrusco tra i grandi vini
A gentle revolution, destined to make people talk about itself, has been born in the heart of Emilia. As of March 31, 2025, Lambrusco has its Custodians: twenty-six producers-between small and large entities-united by the desire to defend, enhance, and (re)position Lambrusco in the landscape of great wines. Beyond existing institutional visions, these winemakers have chosen to unite to tell the story of Lambrusco in an inclusive way, without territorial divisions. Thus was born a new association, the Keepers of Lambrusco, committed to rewriting the common perception of this extraordinary but too often undervalued wine.
United by quality as a common thread, the Custodians aim to rewrite the history of one of Emilia-Romagna's most representative wines with a contemporary language that is direct and sensitive to novelty. From the vineyard to the bottle, every choice will be dictated by a key principle: to enhance the authentic character of Lambrusco, elevating its quality and making each expression unique.
“This is not just about protection, but about affirmation: Lambrusco is history, culture and identity of a territory, and it deserves to be recognized as such,” declares Fabio Altariva, President of the Keepers of Lambrusco. "The Keepers of Lambrusco were born with a clear mission: to rewrite the future of this wine. We want to exalt its authentic value, without compromise, and give it back the role it deserves among great wines. Lambrusco is not just a wine: it is the history, culture and identity of a territory that we want to protect and tell, for those who were there before us and for those who will come after."
Modena and Reggio Emilia, the historic cradles of Lambrusco, are now the beating heart of this historic turning point, as well as the headquarters of the wineries of the producers who, with passion and dedication, are joining this new common project. With determination and an eye straight to the future, the Keepers of Lambrusco are ready to write a new chapter in the history of this extraordinary wine. Because Lambrusco deserves to finally be celebrated, respected and, above all, cherished.
Below is the list of the twenty-six Associated Wine Farms that, as per their bylaws, carry out the entire wine production cycle, from the cultivation of the grapes to the bottling and marketing of the final product.
