Six training sessions in a rich educational and information program on protected excellence
Deepening and transferring knowledge of Italian PDO and PGI cured meats to operators of the Large-Scale Retail Trade, the last - but ever so fundamental - link in the complex path of these Made in Italy excellences: the objective of the Salumitalia - Consorzi Indicazione Geografica project is clear, divided into six events, each dedicated to a GDO brand. The start took place on Wednesday 11 June with the presentation of the initiative and the greeting to the participating operators of the first of the six GDO brands, by the President Cristiano Ludovici. Following, an educational program - identified as the general format of the project - aimed at offering an in-depth overview of technical information, practical notions and curiosities to train and inform those who, by virtue of their role, can be true "ambassadors" of the quality and stories of PDO and PGI cured meats and of the guarantee role played by the Protection Consortia.
