Salame Piemonte PGI: production up 17%, sales up 21% and sliced salami up 25%

For the first time, sliced product reaches 54% of sales, surpassing whole product, thanks to format diversification

First nine months with a positive sign for Salame Piemonte, which sees production increase by 17%, sales by 21% and sliced in trays by 25%. Double-digit increases that Daniele Veglio, President of the Consorzio Salame Piemonte explains in this way: «We are very satisfied with the results obtained because the growth in production is due to an increase in orders and the acquisition of new customers in the large-scale retail channel. On the other hand, the extraordinary growth in sliced salami is due to the companies‘ decision to diversify the formats, placing on the market the new 80 and 60 gram packs, which meet the different nutritional needs of consumers, who require small or single-serving portions, ideal, for example, for quick and practical consumption during lunch breaks».
