Bucking the trend in a sector that has long been in crisis, Prosciutto San Daniele PDO is holding its own. This was revealed by Mario Emilio Cichetti, general director of the Prosciutto di San Daniele Consortium, in a statement on the official website of the Friuli PDO. ‘In the first eight months of this year, slicing quantities are at the same levels as in previous years, this is an immediate confirmation of the good performance,’ Cicchetti explains, referring to an export share of 19% in 2023.
