The assembly of ASS.I.CA., the Association of Meat and Cured Meat Industries, held on Tuesday 18 June in Bologna, unanimously elected Lorenzo Beretta as its new president.Beretta, who has already been vice-president of the association several times, takes over the baton from Francesco Pizzagalli. «The current Italian and international economic-social context in which our sector is moving requires the utmost commitment and involvement of all companies, a commitment that precisely within ASS.I.CA. can yield the greatest fruits and results. Today, more than ever, we need a common, single, strong voice to be able to obtain answers, certainties, timely support from the institutions and, of course, defined programmes for the future» Beretta stated.
