Salumitalia expands its membership - Geographical Indication Consortia, which, with the entry of the Consorzio di Tutela del Prosciutto Veneto Berico-Euganeo (Consortium for the Protection of Veneto Berico-Euganeo Ham), approved during the association’s last council meeting, now represents 20 Protection Consortia, representing 24 PDO and PGI cured meats, confirming its importance in the Italian cured meat sector with Geographical Indication. With this new member, the family of consortia is enriched with a new entity that protects and promotes a product of excellence in Italian cured meats, protected by its strong ties to its territory.
