The announcement by the Trump administration of new 15% tariffs on European cured meats (read EFA News) risks undermining one of the most strategic markets for the Italian sector: the United States, which in 2024 confirmed its position as the third largest destination for exports of Italian cured meats, with over 20,000 tonnes exported (+19.9%) and a turnover of €265 million (+20.4% compared to 2023).
