Cheese, the largest international event dedicated to raw-milk cheeses, returns to Bra from 19 to 22 September 2025
Cheese, the largest international event dedicated to raw-milk cheeses, returns to Bra from 19 to 22 September. Organised by Slow Food and the City of Bra, with the support of the Piedmont Regional Authority, the event is now in its 15th edition and puts the spotlight back on a production system that is unique for its environmental, social, cultural and economic value.
Raw milk cheese is not just a product, but the heart of a system that holds together biodiversity, ancient crafts, natural resources, landscapes and communities. Behind each cheese there is a complex ecosystem, including the management of meadows, pastures and animals, but also meat and wool processing, chestnut growing, forestry and wood management. And above all, there are the hands and lives of shepherds and producers who every day decide to live and work in inland areas, keeping territories and local economies alive.
