The second edition of the national event will take place in May and June
The second edition of IlMare Festival opens on Friday 1 May. This national festival takes place during the final weeks of spring at iconic venues across Santa Margherita Ligure, cementing the town’s status as the ideal setting for a major event dedicated to the sea in all its facets and interconnections. An event that focuses on an ecosystem of exceptional value: a reservoir of resources, the cradle of civilisation, a space for scientific research, a frontier of exploration, an inexhaustible source of inspiration, a web of commercial, economic and social routes, and a contested political space of both past and present. Organised by the Municipality of Santa Margherita Ligure in collaboration with the team from Frame – Festival della Comunicazione, IlMare Festival is directed by Rosangela Bonsignorio and Danco Singer, with scientific coordination by geologist and television presenter Mario Tozzi.
