Government at work to revive the fishing industry with 7 agreements with sector organisations
Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, Luis Planas, today reaffirmed the Iberian government's commitment to promoting the consumption of fish, seafood, and their preserves, which was expressed this time by the signing of seven collaboration agreements with seven industry organizations.
Planas concluded the presentation of these agreements, to which the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food is contributing a total of €410,386.10, and emphasized the importance of working collaboratively with the sector. Boosting fish consumption, which has declined by nearly 30% over the past decade, is, according to the minister, a collective effort that must involve the administration and the entire sector, as synergy allows for greater effectiveness. "The key to success is working together, which is why we are joining forces and aligning our messages to amplify their impact," Planas stated.
