Fish that had been out of date for two years and other untraceable produce were found on the shelves
5,184 kg of fish products were seized at a market in north-west Rome. The raid was carried out by the Port Authority and the Rome Fiumicino Coastguard under the coordination of the Civitavecchia fisheries control centre. Among the goods found to be irregular were prawns, squid, octopus and bluefin tuna, all lacking traceability and, in some cases, having expired two years ago.
