iFISH, a ‘trade fair within a trade fair’ dedicated to the fishing industry

For those working in the seafood sector, iMEAT is the ideal trade fair for discovering innovative solutions tailored not only to the meat industry but also to fishmongers, the HoReCa sector and the fish processing industry

At the tenth edition of iMEAT, taking place on 11, 12 and 13 October 2026 at BolognaFiere, the meat industry will come together with the seafood industry. In view of the synergies between the meat and seafood sectors, Ecod Extra Srl – organiser of the iMEAT trade fair – has decided to combine the event with its iFISH project, extending the fair’s scope to include the seafood sector (fishmongers, HoReCa and the fish processing industry).


There are three key areas of connection:

• shared technology: equipment for refrigeration, processing, storage and cooking is the same for both meat and fish

• cross-sector innovation: packaging, ingredients, technical clothing and sanitisation are also applicable to the seafood business

• networking: an opportunity to join forces and expand one’s network of contacts in a setting where suppliers and professionals can meet.
