From 26 to 28 November, there will be 70 events focusing on technology, young people and consumers. Among the new features: artificial intelligence applied to livestock farming, the ‘It’s not just a man’s job’ project, and the Fuori Salone in the city centre
Artificial Intelligence is making its way into livestock barns, scientific research is developing cheeses suitable for people with kidney conditions, and women are leading the revolution in sustainable livestock farming. This is a sector undergoing profound transformation — rooted in tradition yet looking towards technology, science and the younger generation — which will take centre stage at the Cremona International Livestock Fairs from 26 to 28 November at the CremonaFiere exhibition centres. In addition to the traditional and impressive exhibition area featuring world-class livestock displays, the three-day event in Cremona offers a programme of over 70 events designed not only for industry professionals but also to explain to the public and consumers how the world of food and agriculture is changing.
Among the most significant events is the presentation of FriP (free phosphate) cheese, a nutritional breakthrough developed to enable people with chronic kidney disease to consume dairy products. A central focus will also be on digitalisation: in collaboration with CREA and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and the Polytechnic University of Milan, a series of workshops will demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence and precision livestock farming are helping to monitor animal health today, reducing the use of medication and improving environmental sustainability.
