To raise awareness of and strengthen the presence of Italian cured meats on the Polish market through a comprehensive project involving the media, influencers, industry professionals, the distribution sector and training. This is the aim of the SalumiAmo Polonia 2026 campaign, an initiative forming part of the 2026 Public Promotion Programme, spearheaded by the Institute for the Istituto Valorizzazione Salumi Italiani (IVSI) and implemented and promoted by ICE Agenzia.
Poland is currently a market of particular interest for Italian cured meats. In the first six months of 2026, Italian exports of cured meats to Poland reached 4,279.7 tonnes, up 25.2 per cent compared with the same period the previous year, with a value of 43.5 million euros, an increase of 14.8 per cent. Among the fastest-growing categories, seasoned pancetta stands out, having recorded a 211.6 per cent increase in volume and a 94.3 per cent rise in value, alongside salami, cooked hams and mortadella. The trend for raw hams was also very positive, whilst bresaola recorded an 8.8 per cent increase in value despite a 30.7 per cent fall in volumes (ASSICA analysis based on Istat data).
