Support for 7 years for two European partnerships in key sectors of agricultural production
The European Commission has decided to finance two important research and innovation partnerships in key sectors of agricultural production with 600 million euros over the next 7 years. These are the European Partnership for Agroecology and the European Partnership for Animal Health and Welfare, launched under the EU Horizon Europe Framework Program for Research and Innovation, following a collaborative process. creation lasted several years with close involvement of the European Commission.
The partnerships will bring together funding organisations, research institutes, laboratories, universities, industrial partners and other key stakeholders from EU Member States and countries associated with Horizon Europe to advance research and generate ready-to-use innovations. These will include decision support systems, methods and tools to monitor and measure the effect of long-term agricultural practices, products and services such as vaccine candidates and capacity building.
