The Mercosur agreement worries Italian farmers and not only. In recent days Confagricoltura, in line with the positions it has long upheld against the finalisation of the agreement without radical changes, had sensitised the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, and Ministers Tajani and Lollobrigida, sending them the letter of COPA-COGECA addressed to the President of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the EU Council, Victor Orban, signed by more than 50 European agricultural associations and cooperatives against the agreement as it is currently configured and is expected to be signed in the coming weeks.
