3tre3.itThe mandatory indication of the Origin (i.e. the name of the country) of the raw material on the label is a national initiative dating back to 2016. It is an experimental scheme that is possible under the relevant European regulation (Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011)
MASAF is again extending the scheme allowing the origin of the raw material to be indicated on the label for: milk, dairy and processed pork. The extension to 31 December 2025 was adopted by the decree of 23 December 2024, which was published in the Official Journal on 12 February 2025.
