Three days dedicated to the Romagnola, a symbol of the region’s livestock farming and gastronomy
From 17 to 19 July 2026, the historic centre of San Leo – one of the most picturesque villages in the Romagna hinterland – will host the third edition of the Festival della Romagnola, an event organised by the Municipality of San Leo in collaboration with ARAER, Anabic and Coldiretti Rimini, with the support of the Romagna-Forlì-Cesena-Rimini Chamber of Commerce.
The event celebrates one of Italy’s most prestigious beef cattle breeds and the agri-food heritage of the Valmarecchia: the Romagnola beef cattle breed.
From 6 pm, the stands set up by the Regional Association of Breeders of Emilia-Romagna (ARAER) will offer visitors the chance to sample Romagnola beef – prized for its quality, tenderness and flavour – alongside typical local produce. The programme will be further enriched by a market showcasing local specialities, live music and the unique atmosphere of the village of San Leo, one of the most picturesque spots in the Romagna hinterland.
