Final conference on the I-Beef2 project: native beef cattle breeds at the centre of biodiversity, animal welfare and the environment
On Monday 18 November 2024, at the Sala Trasparenza of the Palazzo della Regione in Turin (go to the programme) and in the presence of Sveva Davanzo, director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, who will be in charge of the conclusions at the end of the event, a conference will be held to illustrate the results of the I-Beef2 project: Biodiversity, sustainability, efficiency and welfare in Italian beef cattle breeding, in which ANABIC (Associazione Nazionale Allevatori Bovini Italiani Carne - go to website) participated as leader, ANABORAPI (Associazione Nazionale Allevatori Bovini razza Piemontese) and ANACLI (Associazione Nazionale Allevatori bovine breeders Italian Charolaise and Limousine).
The project had a three-year duration (2020-2023), was part of the Rural Development Programme (RDP), financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and was in continuity with the previous three-year project, the I-Beef, with regard to issues related to the protection of biodiversity, the implementation of animal welfare and the reduction of emissions.
