Three weekends from 26 September to 11 October featuring gastronomy, chefs, excursions in the Delta, culture, archaeology and performances
Three weekends to celebrate eels, Comacchio and that unique landscape where water, land and traditions have been intertwined for centuries. From 26 September to 11 October, the Comacchio Eel Festival returns, with events concentrated over the weekends of 26–27 September, 3–4 October and 10–11 October. A city-wide festival that will stretch through the historic centre from the monumental Trepponti bridge to the Manifattura dei Marinati, bringing traditional local cuisine, ‘wines of the sands’, live cooking demonstrations, masterclasses, shows, markets, exhibitions, children’s activities and excursions to the town. At the heart of it all, of course, is the wild eel from the Valli and dishes featuring fish from both the sea and the Valli, but the event will also be an opportunity to delve into the heart of the Po Delta Park, discover its natural beauty and learn about the history and traditions of Comacchio.
