Eighth edition of the Pig Farming Day: appointment in Modena on 15 October 2025
On October 15, 2025, at the RMH Raffaello Hotel in Modena, starting at 9:00 am, the eighth edition of the Pig Farming Day will be held, organized as always by Expo Consulting srl (www.giornatadellasuinicoltura.it)
The event is still a few months away, but the organizational machine is already working to prepare a valuable event that at each edition, in past years, has always recorded a large participation of the public composed mainly of breeders, but also of veterinarians, technicians and operators of the Italian pig farming supply chain.
In the hope that the summer now upon us will not bring new outbreaks of African Swine Fever, as unfortunately happened in the same season in 2023 and 2024, the spotlight of the Pig Farming Day will certainly not be able to remain off on this health criticality which unfortunately, as the Extraordinary Commissioner for ASF, Giovanni Filippini, has recalled on other occasions, can no longer be considered an emergency, but rather a situation to be fought with the weapons available today, first and foremost the adoption of the most effective biosecurity measures, especially management.
